Sustainability is more than just the product. Sustainability is also about sustainable relationships with employees (opportunities for development), relationships with customers, suppliers and the immediate living environment. Royal Vaassen focuses on sustainability in the broadest sense of the word.
Naturally, the emphasis is strongly on reducing the CO2 footprint of our products, which is mainly determined by the choice in the use of materials.
We strive for mono-materials, approximately 60% of our sales are mono-material in the form of (metallized) paper and lacquered aluminum. We devise alternatives for the other multi-material solutions. In our own process we use renewable energy, compensate CO2 emissions or reuse separated waste.
In our procurement markets we are looking for more sustainable solutions and materials Examples are:
The recycling of aluminum requires significantly less energy than the initial production of new material, so a double advantage!
The challenge lies in living more efficiently by developing more sustainable consumption habits and production methods. By entering into dialogues with both customers and suppliers, we work on more sustainable methods and products. We are happy to help reduce the ecological footprint.
